Gus Lamont's Disappearance Has Been Declared a Major Crime

Major Crime Investigation Branch Cfficer-in-Charge Detective Superintendent Darren made the announcement that the disappearance is now being treated as a major crime during a press conference.

"Despite these extraordinary efforts, all of the combined searches have found no evidence, physical or otherwise, to suggest Gus has wandered off,’’ Det. Supt. Fielke said.

Police Say Suspect Has Been Identified

According to a report by IB Times Australia, a suspect has already been identified by authorities.

Det. Supt. Fielke has made it clear that suspect is not a parent of the missing boy. However, he refused to reveal any details, including who he is and why he is considered a suspect.

However, he did reveal that a person from Oak Park Station, where the four-year-old is from, has refused to cooperate with authorities in their investigation.

"As a result of these inconsistencies, and investigations into them, a person who resides at Oak Park Station has withdrawn their support for the police and is no longer co-operating with us," he said.
