Indonesia has announced that it will join the Board of Peace, which will oversee the next steps in the Gaza ceasefire agreement.
Invitations were sent out by US President Donald Trump, who will chair the Board of Peace.

Indonesia Joins Board of Peace
According to a report by Jakarta Globe, Indonesia made a joint statement with other Muslim-majority nations who have also agreed to join the Board of Peace. They are as follows:
- Egypt
- Jordan
- Pakistan
- Qatar
- Saudi Arabia
- Turkey
"The ministers announce their countries’ shared decision to join the Board of Peace," the statement announced. "Each country will sign the joining documents according to its respective relevant legal and other necessary procedures."

Who Else Joined the Board of Peace
The Board of Peace will be made up of world leaders, and Trump will have the final say who gets to be part of it. According to a report by IB Times Australia, each country is required to make a cash contribution of US$1 billion.
Aside from Indonesia and the countries mentioned above, others who have already announced their desire to be part of the Board of Peace are as follows:
- Albania
- Armenia
- Azerbaijan
- Bahrain
- Belarus
- Hungary
- Kazakhstan
- Morocco
- United Arab Emirates
- Vietnam
The likes of Australia, Canada, the United Kingdom, and even the Vatican have received invitations to join, according to a report by the BBC.
