Prabowo's Approval Rating Reaches Nearly 80% in January 2026 Survey

A new survey conducted across Indonesia shows that 79.9% of respondents approve of the performance of President Prabowo Subianto.

This rating is an increase from the 78% approval rating from November 2025.

Prabowo's Approval Rating Increases

According to a report by The Straits Times, the survey was released by Indikator Politik Indonesia (IPI). It polled 1,220 participants from January 15 to 21.

The report also notes that the survey also shows that Prabowo enjoys huge popularity among the Gen Z, as well as those whole live in the villages.

However, the survey points out that concerns over transparency, governance and policy consistency have been rising under Prabowo's presidency.

Breakdown of Respondents' Ratings

According to The Jakarta Globe, 13% of the survey respondents said they were very satisfied with Prabowo’s performance. 66.9% said they were satisfied.

17.1%, on the other hand, said that they were less satisfied. 2.2% of the respondents said they were not satisfied with Prabowo's performance.

Lastly, 0.8% of those survey either declined to answer or said they did not know.
