South Korea has announced that it is extendings it waive on visa processing fees for Indonesian tourists until June 2026.

The waive was set to expire on the last day of 2025. Aside from Indonesia, five other Asian countries are covered by the extension.

South Korea Extends Waive on Visa Processing Fees

According to the report by The Korea Times, the extension covers the fee exemption for C-3-2 visas. The report notes that, as of writing, visa processing fees for C-3-2 visas amount to 18,000 won, which is approximately Rp208,000.

The other Asian countries covered by the extension are Cambodia, China, India, the Philippines, and Vietnam.

It has not been confirmed as of press time whether there will be another extension after June 2026.

Indonesian Tourists Love South Korea

The extension on the waiver is good news for Indonesian tourists who plan to travel to South Korea within the first six months of 2026.

Kompas noted in its November 2025 report that the number of Indonesian tourists visiting the East Asian country continues to grow, according to the Korean Tourism Organization (KTO). In fact, KTO Jakarta Office Marketing Manager Dwita Rizki claimed that Indonesia tourists rank 9th globally in terms of the number of tourists that enter South Korea.

Numbers show that a total of 267,843 Indonesian tourists visited South Korea from January to September 2025. This is a 12.1% percent increase in comparison to the same time period the previous year.

In total, 336,185 Indonesian tourists visited South Korea in 2024.
