Grab Indonesia Announces Welfare Program
According to a report by Jakarta Globe, the welfare program for driver partners is worth Rp100 billion (approximately US$5.9 million).
"Today we are launching the Grab for Indonesia program by allocating Rp100 billion across three initiatives: free BPJS Ketenagakerjaan insurance contributions, holiday bonuses, and the Grab Academy program,” Grab Indonesia CEO Neneng Goenadi said.
While the program is meant to cover all driver partners when it comes to basic insurance protection, the program is said to prioritize high-performing drivers.
"Even those who are not categorized as top performers will still be covered by insurance if an accident occurs," the Grab Indonesia CEO emphasized.
She added, "We hope this program will motivate those who have not yet excelled to improve their performance."
It can be recalled that last March, President Prabowo Subianto ordered ride-hailing companies, including Grab Holdings, to give much-deserved holiday bonuses to their drivers.
